Join one of Canada’s largest, fastest growing suppliers of control label products. Hunter Logistics Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Associate who can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Providing on time, complete and accurate shipments is paramount to the business.
The Warehouse Associate will contribute to the ongoing business operations of the company by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all shipping, receiving and storage of merchandise in the warehouse. The successful candidate will also be responsible for keeping a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Efficiently loading and unloading freight according to procedures.
- Receiving incoming freight and performing inspections of goods received for damages, shortages.
- Staging freight in the warehouse.
- Inventory counts.
- Keeping a clean and organized warehouse, dock and work area.
- Following and adhering to all safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific skill requirements:
- Forklift certification preffered.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task efficiently and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
- Efficient with computers and computer programs.
- Proven track record of success in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with changing multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.
- Able to work individually or as part of a team.
- Adheres to all safety protocols.
- Able to read, sort and understand shipping manifests.
- Able to work in varying temperatures, depending on season.
- Physical requirements include: lifting (60lbs), bending, sitting, and standing for long periods of time.
