As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations. Join our dynamic team and be part of a company built on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Primary responsibilities:
· Process and match supplier and subcontractor invoices with purchase orders, receiving documents, and price lists.
· Review purchase order completions and process payments for trades as appropriate.
· Review kitchen cabinet plans to approve installation invoices.
· Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies.
· Post invoices in the accounting system.
· Reconcile supplier accounts and monthly statements, ensuring accuracy of transactions.
· Maintain and update vendor price lists.
· Prepare and process monthly cheque runs.
· Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with vendors.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus.
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function.
· Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., MS AX Dynamics) is an asset.
· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
· Bilingualism (English/French) is an advantage.
· Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
· Dependable, with a strong attendance record and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
· Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
· Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
