Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fabrication Foreman to oversee manufacturing operations within our fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of technicians and operators, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance. This leadership role requires strong mechanical knowledge, process improvement expertise, and familiarity with manufacturing systems such as SAP, ERP, and MRP. The Fabrication Foreman will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards in assembly and quality control.
Duties
- Supervise daily fabrication activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels and material flow using ERP systems like SAP and MRP modules
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency
- Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity and safety across the fabrication line
- Monitor mechanical operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper maintenance of equipment
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a safe working environment
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards
- Facilitate team training on assembly techniques, process updates, and system usage
- Collaborate with engineering and management teams on project planning and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments with a focus on process improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication equipment and assembly processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or other enterprise resource planning tools, including MRP modules
- Experience in supply chain coordination within a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and continuous improvement strategies is highly desirable
- Prior experience with process optimization tools like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus
Pay: $52.00-$65.00 per hour
