Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our legal team in daily operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, and a solid understanding of legal procedures.

The position offered is part-time, and could be partially remote and in-office.
It is necessary that the candidate have filing experience with the Alberta Court of King's Bench.
Duties
- Proofread and review legal documents for accuracy and clarity
- File court-documents via e-filing system
- Assist with legal drafting, including correspondence, pleadings, and other documentation
- Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems for easy retrieval of case information
- Handle clerical tasks such as answering phones with proper etiquette
- Assist with general administrative duties including filing, document preparation, and maintaining office supplies
Skills
- Proven proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience with project management tools and techniques in a legal setting
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Effective research skills for locating relevant legal information quickly
- Writing skills capable of producing clear, concise legal documents and correspondence
- Legal drafting experience is highly desirable
- Data entry accuracy and efficiency in clerical tasks such as filing and record keeping
- Previous administrative experience in a law firm or legal environment is required
- Good phone etiquette and professional communication skills
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
