Community Wellness Specialist

Our Community Wellness business centre has a new exciting opportunity for a Community Wellness Specialist to join their team. Reporting to the Community Wellness Manager, the Community Wellness Specialist is responsible for working with funding agencies to support application and reporting processes including the development of logic models, outcomes measures and indicators, completing funding applications, presentations, and providing comprehensive reports on funding.

Ideal applicants will have a degree in a “helping” profession (ie) social work or community social development. At least 3 years’ experience working with community social development is preferred. Strong research and assessment skills is required. Experience with funding proposals and reports will be considered an asset. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, relationship building, networking, and time management skills will ensure success in this role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. A favourable criminal record check including the vulnerable sector search is a prerequisite for this position.

This is a full-time opportunity working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Occasionally this position will be required to work in the evenings or weekends to attend meetings and events. We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefit plan, and participation in LAPP.
