Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the Shop or Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel components in both shop and field settings. We support professional development through training, CWB qualification, and Welder Apprenticeship opportunities.

Black Creek Metal Inc., founded in 1975, is one of Niagara Region's largest and most established industrial and commercial contractors specializing in structural steel fabrication and erection; millwrighting & rigging; ironworking; piping fabrication & installation and pressure vessel fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld and fabricate structural steel components, such as handrails and frames.
- Operate forklifts and cranes for safe material handling.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Follow all safety procedures in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policies.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions effectively.
- Working knowledge of equipment safety standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
Experience & Qualifications
- 3 years of welding experience in a custom or job shop environment (preferred).
- Comfortable working in a range of conditions including heights, confined spaces, and noisy or dusty environments.
Certifications (Assets Unless Stated)
- CWB Welding Certification (asset)
- TSSA Certification (asset)
- WHMIS Certificate
- Worker Health & Safety Awareness
- Steel-toed safety boots (mandatory)
