Provider Homes Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our growing residential property management team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience in general maintenance, and a willingness to learn new trades.
The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and unit turnovers across our rental portfolio.
On-Call Requirement
- On call 1-2 weeks per month (evenings and weekends)
- The Monday following each on-call rotation is provided as a scheduled day off
Key Responsibilities / Preferred Skills
- Mudding, sanding, and painting
- Baseboard removal and installation
- Adjust, repair, and replace door hardware (doors, deadbolts, and latches)
- Glue-down LVP flooring repairs
- Clean dryer ducts and HRV filters
- Replace light fixtures and bulbs
- Caulk around tubs, sinks, windows, stairways, and baseboards
- Clear drain or toilet clogs
- Replace outlet covers, switch plates, and small hardware
- Perform general troubleshooting and maintenance repairs
- Assist with unit turnovers and preventative maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Interest in learning plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work in occupied residential units and communicate professionally with tenants
- Valid driver’s license, and reliable, insured personal vehicle suitable for travelling between properties and transporting tools and materials
