Position Overview:
As Sous Chef, you will work directly with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, lead the culinary team, and ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen reflects Sala61’s high standards. We are looking for a creative, organized, and dependable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to grow with our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Assist with inventory management and cost control
- Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal changes
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Culinary diploma or relevant training preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for creative, seasonal, and locally inspired cuisine
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
