Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead job site crews and subcontractors, supervise daily site work, coordinate labour and equipment, maintain safety and documentation standards, and support clear communication between the crew, customers, Operations, Project Management, and Health & Safety. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, positive, and a strong leader who can motivate others, solve problems, and keep work moving safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Job Site Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and support job site crews, including Junior Riggers, Riggers, Sub-Contractors, and AZ Driver/Riggers.
- Assign daily tasks, provide clear direction, and ensure crew members understand job expectations, safety requirements, and timelines.
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for the crew, customers, and the Operations Team.
- Mentor and coach team members to improve rigging knowledge, safe work habits, and overall job performance.
- Upholding Company values and demonstrating on the job daily.
Rigging, Machinery Moving & Planning
- Plan and coordinate rigging, machinery moving, loading, unloading, staging, and installation work on customer job sites.
- Review work plans, drawings, site conditions, equipment needs, and project requirements before and during job execution.
- Determine the safest and most efficient sequence of work while considering load requirements, site access, crew availability, and equipment needs.
- Work hands-on with the crew, including rigging hardware, forklifts, skates, jacks, and other equipment used in machinery moving.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable safety standards.
- Conduct daily Job Hazard Assessments, safety talks/toolbox meetings, and equipment inspections as required.
- Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with job requirements.
- Identify hazards, correct unsafe conditions, and stop work when necessary to protect employees, customers, equipment, and the public.
Documentation & Communication
- Complete and maintain required job site paperwork, including daily logs, customer sign offs, logging times & equipment in FieldSolutions, Job Hazard Assessment, and other project documentation.
- Communicate with Health & Safety on incident/accident/near-miss reports
- Communicate with job progress, delays, material requests, equipment concerns, and crew requirements to the Operations Team and Project Management.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and site contacts while representing the company.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Required:
- Previous rigging, machinery moving, industrial relocation, millwright, or skilled trades experience.
- At least 1-2 years of previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a crew in a job site environment.
- Strong understanding of safe rigging practices, load handling, equipment movement, job site coordination, and hazard awareness.
- Ability to read and understand work plans, drawings, job instructions, and customer site requirements.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to keep crews focused on safe and efficient completion of work.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, manual work, bending, crouching, reaching, and handling of tools and materials.
- Forklift experience.
Preferred:
- AZ license, heavy haul, open trailer, or transportation experience and knowledge is considered an asset.
- Basics of Supervising certification.
- Customer experience with site contacts.
