Job Summary
Graduates of the Faculty of Management are leaders and managers in the business sector, public sector, and civil society who live the Faculty’s vision of managing for the betterment of society. The Faculty has been recognized for its innovative, values-based approach to management education and research. Management Career Services (MCS) provides work-integrated learning opportunities and career education for students in the Corporate Residency MBA, Bachelor of Commerce Co-op, and Bachelor of Management programs, and supports various career education programming for students in other graduate programs within the Faculty of Management. Reporting to the Student Development Manager, the Career and Recruitment Specialist will educate and engage students in career development through individual consultation, group facilitated learning, coordination of special events, provision of information, and connections to potential employers.

Key Responsibilities
Consult on an individual basis with students to assist in the development of their career development action plans.
Manage all activities related to the work terms for assigned students and employers in the Faculty of Management such as Bachelor of Commerce Co-op, MBA Corporate Residencies and Bachelor of Management Internships
Identify, connect with, develop and enhance relationships with employers, alumni and external associations to achieve a strong engagement with the Faculty of Management.
Manage and coordinate a variety of assigned events, which enhance alumni connections, and promote all Faculty of Management programs to all employers.
Participate in the facilitation of group learning activities.

Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a related discipline, plus approximately five years’ related experience in student services, student advising, career and employment services, coaching, and/or mentoring (or equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Prior experience with work integrated learning strongly preferred. Master’s degree preferred. The ability to engage stakeholders in initiatives in order to generate participation and the ability to communicate and develop relationships at all levels of external organizations is required. Excellent customer service and written and oral communication skills are necessary, as is experience in the development and facilitation of workshops and presentations. The ability to communicate with, and understand the needs of, a diverse student population is required and prior experience within a university environment would be considered an asset.
