Job Overview
Seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer. This role involves supporting various carpentry/framing projects through hands-on assistance, ensuring safety, and maintaining a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn new skills in the construction industry. Some experience with power tools and some knowledge in carpentry highly valuable. Prior experience in carpentry, or related trades is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks in carpentry such measuring, use of power tools, and banging walls.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to support construction activities.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up equipment.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and others.
- Assist with demolition, material handling, and site cleanup throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction work.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions from lead worker.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to framing/carpentry
- Safety-conscious mindset with a focus on maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
