Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Framer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various framing and building tasks on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in blueprint reading, carpentry, along with the ability to operate hand tools, and power tools.This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in construction, woodworking, , and restoration while contributing to high-quality building projects.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately execute framing and construction tasks
- Set up and operate hand tools, and power tools.
- Perform siding installation and other exterior finishing tasks
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as wood, and other building supplies
- Support carpentry activities including cutting, measuring, and assembling wood components
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on-site at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project phase
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles such as framing, carpentry, or labouring
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Familiarity with siding installation and restoration projects is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety compliance
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
This role is vital for the successful completion of construction projects requiring skilled labourers capable of supporting various aspects of building processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
