Lockheed Martin Canada is seeking a key team member to contribute to the growing footprint in Canada. As part of the international Talent Acquisition organization, your role will report to the Talent Acquisition Canada Manager. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the recruitment requests for the client groups within Lockheed Martin Canada. The essential responsibilities will be to manage relations with all hiring managers, drive the recruitment process, and build strategic talent pipelines. In addition, this person will play a central role in the following areas: web/social network sourcing strategy, Early Careers program, Employment Equity commitments and other key recruitment events.

More specifically:
Manage full cycle recruiting process for all levels of positions, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience for the Engineering & Technology group in Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and Victoria
Build and maintain solid partnerships with hiring managers and HRBPs to align recruitment activities to business priorities
Proactively support and coordinate university relations events and activities and maintain a strong partnership with preferred schools
Align the Employment Equity commitments to the diversity & inclusion initiatives, create opportunities and partnerships to improve designated group hiring metrics
Assess and improve on an ongoing basis, the overall efficiency of talent acquisition processes and practices
Source and develop passive candidates through networking, complex internet searches, social media, research, etc.
Ensure consistent application of policy with respect to company guidelines; recognizing and making recommendations when existing policies no longer align with company strategy
Work in collaboration with the recruitment team
Review web and social network solutions and options for recruitment
Coordinate with international and corporate TA stakeholders, propose an integrated strategy and coordinate the implementation
Partner with other recruiting team members to develop, implement and execute global and client group hiring strategies.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Bachelor degree in Business, with a Human Resources designation or equivalent HR experience
Minimum of eight years recruiting experience in the Defence, Aeronautic or High Tech industries
Practical experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (IBM Kenexa BrassRing preferred) within an HR information system interface
Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, customer focus and result driven
Must have superior ability to work in fast pace
Perfectly bilingual: English, French (spoken & written)
Adaptable to changing or competing priorities
Autonomous but able to in a team environment.
