Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs and inspections on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and schematic reading is highly valued. The Automotive Technician will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction through expert service and technical proficiency.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Conduct complex repairs including engine diagnostics, transmission work, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Utilize welding techniques for structural repairs when necessary
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Assist with vehicle assembly and component replacement as needed
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings effectively to customers
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Support team members with technical guidance and mentorship when required
Experience
- Prior dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; relevant mechanic experience is essential
- Proficiency with automotive repair tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Experience reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes is a plus
