Why is this role important?
As a Manager of Advertising Analytics, you will join Loblaw Media’s team to work with internal marketing and technical squads across the organization to maintain and advance our campaign measurement, data products, forecasting and other analytics capabilities. You will use data to drive decision making, strategy and value for marketing stakeholders. An understanding of the business will be paramount as you contribute to the data and analytics vision, define data products, conduct tests and communicate results.
What you’ll do

Requirement gather and advise on measurement strategies for multiple lines of Loblaw businesses to understand and optimize advertising solutions

Orchestrate advertising campaign marketing effectiveness experiments, “test and learns”, reporting tools and processes that tell a story and provides actionable insights

Work with a team of analytics professionals as both consumers and builders of capabilities to track the impact of marketing over time

Utilize strong business acumen to assess business questions, data sources and analytics capabilities to derive business value

Be the subject matter expert for analytics on digital and traditional advertising

Write documentation for business users, marketers, data scientists and developers that detail data and analytics requirements from both a business and technical perspective

Maximize advertising/marketing objectives as well as advance product planning and marketing objectives through data and analytics strategy

Design, build, maintain and validate digital analytics dashboards using data visualization tools (Google Data Studio, Looker, etc.) to systematically analyze customer behavior and traffic trends
Does this sound like you?

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science or similar fields, with a quantitative focus (bonus for advanced degrees).

4+ years of experience in digital analytics/marketing
-
Experience in and knowledge of advertising, marketing and analytics
-
Solid experience creating campaign measurement and reporting processes, data pipelines and communicating results with brands and advertisers

Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.).

Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery and big data sets

Proficient in SQL

Demonstrate an ability to absorb and communicate a story about data

Powerful business acumen, with ability to put data in the context of a customer problem and know where to look for answers that go beyond the data
