Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with both the dogs and their owners, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the daycare area.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Provide basic care for dogs, including feeding, administering medication, and ensuring access to water.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or accidents.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's activities and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks such as moving large bags of dog food or cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for both dogs and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dog daycare or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and provide exceptional care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, including moving supplies and equipment.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
