Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes on interior and exterior projects ensuring high-quality results that meet safety and aesthetic standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply primers, paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other power tools with precision and consistency
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation, patching, and finishing tasks
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling hazardous materials like paints and solvents
- Conduct inspections of painted surfaces to ensure smoothness, coverage, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the painting process
Qualifications
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to working with chemicals and heavy equipment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding as needed, and perform manual tasks with precision
