Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently using cash registers or other technology
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell related items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products to customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills required
- Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through upselling techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask efficiently
- Good phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Experience in merchandising or technical sales is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
