The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is currently seeking an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Employee Experience co-op student/intern for the Winter & Summer 2022 work terms (January to Aug) to provide support for the EDI&EE team.

The EDI&EE co-op/intern will work within our Human Resources department. This is a great opportunity for you to learn and apply your knowledge to support the development and implementation of BCI’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion strategy, and initiatives related Employee Experience.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The Human Resources (HR) department provides HR leadership across BCI, in direct support of investment return objectives and delivering on BCI’s mandate. The HR department adds value as a strategic business partner, an enabler of change when mandates shift, and serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO/CIO, executives, Board, managers, and employees on all people matters.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Co-op student/Intern will complete a wide range of projects including:
Research, plan, and execute event and activites in support of the EDI&EE strategy
Provide recruitment, research, and administrative support for the EDI Council
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders on internal initiatives including learning programs, self-identification census, and organizational communications.
Collaborate on internal programs focused on engagement, BCI’s culture, and employee experience.
Support the sourcing and development of external partnerships, sponsorships, awards, and recognition to elevate BCI’s employer brand
Has an interest and passion for equity, diversity and inclusion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
Proficiency in research combined with analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Impeccable attention to detail
Exhibit a high level of professionalism, with time management and project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaborately
Dedicated to hard work and an eagerness to learn
Commitment to the highest ethical standards, and maintain confidentiality
Knowledge and experience working with systemically marginalized communities is an asset
Preference will be given to 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students or Graduate / Masters degree students
