About us
Norfolk Potato Company is a small business in Delhi, ON N4B 2W5. Our company is a farming and packaging operation. Harvest runs from July to October everyday harvesting for orders.
Responsibilities:
- to operate potato trucks in the field beside the potato harvester. Potato trucks run with smv signs on them so no licensing is required to operate them on the road. You must be able to drive a manual transmission transport truck.
- operate a water truck to deliver water to the sprayer in the field. Again no special license needed.
- Assist with moving irrigation equipment around and start up systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment operations
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations on the job site
If harvesting is done for the day and no maintenance or repairs are needed, you will transition into the packaging barn for the remainder of the day.
Experience:
- the ability to operate a tandem axle straight truck.
-some mechanical knowledge would be an asset
