Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Transport Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and mechanical systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of transport trailers to ensure safe and efficient operations. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on transport trailers and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, and industry best practices.
- Repair or replace faulty components including brakes, axles, electrical systems, and suspension parts.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery to complete repairs efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times..
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of trailer components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor required; must be comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to work as a team member.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
