SUMMARY
Maintain the flow of product through the manual assembly processes of the production. Reports to the Production Leader.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Maintain the flow of product through the Final Assembly & Integration processes production
· Identify and resolve Process / Equipment / Tools requirements with the Production Leader
· To be trained by Senior mechanical operators on processes such as epoxy application, any gluing process, heat sink application etc.
· Align, fit and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates
· Install electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand soldering and hand tools
· Use precision measuring tools or equipment
· Move products to final QC or the next step in accordance with the priorities set by the Production Leader or designate
· Verify board assembly prior to wave with the BOM, customer specs and View Station
· To make sure first off for mechanical is being done completely
· Ensure all the problems found during the first off inspection have been highlighted to the Production Leader and continue only after the manufacturing engineer has looked at it already
· Raise issues/concerns with parts, orientation and any other challenges – obtain details and confirm with Supervisor that relevant details have been added to the View Station prior to running the future jobs
· Verify all processes are performed to the documentation
· Make sure housekeeping is being done at all stations and is maintained at all times
· Perform other duties as required
· Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through the system, read instructions in the training aid for any quires
· Always scan board using View Station
· Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Production Leader
· Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines
· Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production
· Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· Completion of High School required
· Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole components, drawings and BOMS
· Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control
· Electro-mechanical knowledge
· Experienced in Box assembly as well as test
· Able to lift at least 30Ibs
· Good work habits and housekeeping
· IPC Standards and ISO 9002: 1 year
· Mechanical Assembly: 1 year (preferred)
LOCATION
· The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A at 195 Royal Crest Court and/or Building B at 3930 14th Avenue)
· Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate
WORK HOURS
· Day Shift (4 openings): 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
· Afternoon Shift (2 openings): 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
