The Faculty of Social Sciences comprises nine departments, schools and institute, which offer undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral programs in both English and French. With its 10,000 students, 260 full-time professors, and a wide array of programs and research centres, the Faculty of Social Sciences plays a key role at the heart of the University of Ottawa. Its graduate students are trained by excellent researchers and undertake cutting-edge research in the Faculty’s Master’s and Ph.D. programs.
The Department of Economics is accepting applications for three (3) replacement positions. These positions do not lead to tenure. We will consider all candidates with a PhD in economics, but are particularly looking for candidates with expertise in the following areas:
Teaching at the undergraduate level
Participating in the University’s educational activities
Other activities as specified in the collective agreement
Hold a Ph.D. in Economics. Candidates currently completing their Ph.D. may also be considered;
Demonstrate excellence or the potential for excellence in teaching and research;
The University of Ottawa is a bilingual institution. Active bilingualism (English-French) is an advantage at the time of hiring.
Terms and Salary
This three-year contract will begin on July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023. The starting salary is 86,986 $ (for a full workload).
