Alo, which opened in July of 2015, is a contemporary French restaurant located atop a heritage building in downtown Toronto. Our cuisine is internationally inspired and celebrates the finest in seasonal ingredients paired with a genuine sense of welcome. We are refiners: we take time-honoured comforts and seek to do them better than we did last time, evolving to make them ever more delightful.
Our Dining Room serves blind, multi-course tasting menus. Comfortable tables accommodate 2-4 guests. Our chic Barroom, situated in an adjacent room, offers a succinct à la carte food menu to complement its classically-inspired cocktails.
The Pastry Cook works directly with the Pastry Chef on the following:
-daily prep, including petit fours, seasonal desserts and house made bread
-running service, including plating, organizing tickets and engaging with the service team
- menu development is an important part of the role. We encourage you to bring forward new ideas and techniques for upcoming menu changes
