Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team in meal preparation and plating as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food quality
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and restaurant operations is preferred
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: $17.60-$17.70 per hour
