About the Role
Halifax Professional Movers is hiring reliable, hardworking Moving Team Members to join our crew on a part-time basis. You'll be doing hands-on household and corporate moves — loading, unloading, packing, and making sure our clients' belongings are handled with care from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Lift, carry, load, and unload furniture, boxes, and household/office items
- Wrap and protect furniture and fragile items properly for transport
- Load trucks efficiently and safely under the direction of the team lead/manager
- Follow instructions from the Moving Team Manager on-site
- Treat clients' homes, offices, and belongings with care and respect
- Work as part of a team to keep the job on schedule
- Maintain a professional, friendly attitude with clients
- Help keep the truck and equipment organized and in good condition
What You Need
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly throughout a shift (comfortable with physical labor)
- Reliable and punctual — able to show up on time for scheduled jobs
- Team player who takes direction well
- Positive attitude and good communication with clients and crew
- Available for flexible/part-time scheduling, including some weekends
- Own reliable transportation to job sites (asset, not always required)
Nice to Have
- Previous moving, warehouse, or physical labor experience
- Experience handling furniture or fragile items
- Valid driver's license (opens the door to future truck-driving opportunities)
