As part of the Specialty Solutions & Surety Underwriter Development Program - a two year fast-tracked program designed to accelerate your expertise and development - you will be a part of team who is dedicated and passionate about reaching this goal.

To provide an experience that is second-to-none, an Intact Underwriter needs some special talents: Skilled Communicator, Powerful Persuader and True Team Player with a flair for all things analytical. Not only would they be a technical expert, but they would have equal parts business/people savvy and be aces when it comes to going with the flow and making decisions.

How the program works.

The start date for this program is june 2019. During your first year of the program, you’ll partner with different teams within the specialty business or surety as Marine, Surety, Farm, Property, E&O or D&O. These short rotations will build up the general knowledge you’ll need for underwriting success.

For year two, you’d move into one final, longer rotation in a specific line of business - for example Trucking. This rotation will give you the technical training you’ll need to achieve Underwriting superstardom.

Your Skills

What makes you the right candidate for this program :
Recent university graduate (in december 2018 or in may 2019) with a strong GPA obtained during his bachelor degree ( in Business, Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law)
Available to join our training program in June 2019.
Legendary communication and leadership skills combined with great analytical thinking
Details and results oriented
Passionate about networking and building strong relationships to drive growth with brokers and clients
Located in our downtown Montreal office, must have the ability to travel to our Toronto office for training
Ready to put the necessary effort to complete and obtain the Chartered Insurance Professionnal (CIP) designation.
Bilingual (french and english) is essential
