The General Superintendent leads and supports Superintendents and project teams across multiple job sites, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. This role focuses on driving effective planning, solving issues in the field, and keeping teams aligned to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead, promote and support OHSA and company safety requirements across all sites
· Provide coaching, guidance, and day-to-day support to Superintendents across multiple projects
· Assist with problem-solving related to scheduling, sequencing, resources, and safety
· Support planning, interpretation of drawings/specifications, and crew coordination
· Promote consistency in practices and decision-making across job sites
· Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, and site performance
· Support alignment of schedules, milestones, and deliverables with Project Managers
· Assist in planning labour, equipment, material requirements, and subcontractors
· Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve performance
· Coach and mentor Superintendents, Forepersons, and emerging leaders
· Reinforce accountability and strong site leadership
· Promote continuous improvement and sharing of best practices
Experience
· 10+years of heavy civil experience (underground, roads, culverts)
· 5+ years as a successful Senior level Superintendent
· Professional designation (Gold Seal, CET etc) considered an asset
· Proven successful experience working on Highway construction, sewer and water and highway paving projects.
· Strong knowledge of construction practices, productions, scheduling, and cost control
· Working knowledge of OHSA and Ontario construction regulations
· Proven leadership and coaching experience
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Work Conditions
· The office location for this role is in Bracebridge. Based on the heavy in-field presence of this role, you can expect a good among of travel to various sites and locations.
· Outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
· Weekend and evening work may be required to meet business needs from time-to-time.
