The Legal Assistant plays an integral role in supporting our team of legal professionals in delivering superior quality service to our clients. The successful candidate will take initiative, thrive in a fast-paced environment and will work well independently and as a team.

Responsibilities
- Word processing of correspondence and legal documents from dictation, handwritten or other forms of instruction;
- Preliminary drafting of correspondence and legal documents;
- File maintenance including daily filing (electronic or paper), file organization, opening files, closing files, maintain client file lists;
- Maintain tracking systems for limitations and follow up dates, handling mail, responding to client calls and general inquiries; and
- Administration duties including time entry and bill preparation.

Education & Experience
- Diploma or certificate in accredited post-secondary Legal Assistant program;
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a litigation practice; and
- Previous experience in the area of Insurance Defense will be considered a strong asset.
