As a Chocolate Molding Operator, you will play a key role in supporting our molding line by ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the production process. You’ll help prepare, organize, and manage both raw and finished products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety. This role is essential to keeping our production running smoothly and delivering high-quality chocolate products.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately perform data entry, including SAP transactions and production records
- Enter and verify recipe data according to the production schedule
- Assemble containers and perform packaging tasks including labeling, wrapping, and line setup/teardown
- Prepare and stage raw materials to maintain optimal line uptime
- Assist in packaging and warehousing activities as required
- Step in for the Molding Line Attendant when needed
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, Lead Hand, and Shift Supervisor
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by sharing detailed production updates
- Track inventory, clean magnets, and accurately document Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Operate lift trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area and follow sanitation schedules
- Adhere to GMP standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Follow BCOS (Barry Callebaut Operating System) principles, including TPM/Lean Manufacturing practices
- Complete Autonomous Maintenance (AM) tasks daily
- Perform and document HACCP, quality, and safety checks
- Ensure strict compliance with all food safety and workplace safety policies
- Support continuous improvement and perform other duties as assigned
About You
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset
- Valid lift truck certification and operating experience preferred
- Hoist operator experience is an asset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods (12-hour shifts)
- Able to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 55 lbs
- Comfortable working in warm environments
