We are seeking a qualified Site Superintendent with extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in retail improvement projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in carpentry or trades and demonstrate a solid career progression.
Job Duties:
- Oversee all site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
- Daily monitoring and proactive management of the site schedule
- Optimize project efficiency by managing workers, resources, materials, and subcontractors
- Identify and resolve on-site issues
- Foster positive relationships with the project manager, customers, and subcontractors
- Uphold on-site health and safety standards
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a superintendent in commercial construction.
- Background in carpentry or trades.
- Owns a vehicle, preferably a truck.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiar with WCB regulations and able to implement best safety practices
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in supermarket construction (preferred).
- Experience in restaurant, banking, or clothing building construction (considered).
- Experience with Procore is a plus, but a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
