Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper & administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial data, and assist with various bookkeeping, accounting and administrative tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in accounting software and office administration within a dynamic environment.
Duties:
Accounting
- Record day-to-day financial transactions using Yardi
- Manage accounts payables and receivables
- Reconcile daily bank transactions
- Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of all transactions
- Assist with yearly budgeting
- Support year-end and liaise with external accountants or auditors
- Maintain accurate and up to date financial records
- Work closely with management/brokers and landlords
Administration
- Perform general clerical duties including data entry, filing and mail distribution
- Order and manage office supplies
- Handle additional duties as assigned to ensure efficient office operations
- Brokerage
- Issue invoices to clients
- Update transactions and records accurately
- Maintain proper documentation
- Conveyancing to other brokerages
Requirements:
- · Over 3 years of accounting experience including A/P & A/R, and month-end closing
- · Strong skills in reconciliation
- · General knowledge of GST and basic tax requirements
- · Proactive and self-motivated attitude, work independently as part of a small team
- · Proficient in Excels and Words
- · Knowledge of Yardi will be advance
- · Adaptable with a positive and team-oriented attitude
Pay: $36,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
