Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our dealership team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills under the guidance of experienced mechanics. Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles using various tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
- Support welding and assembly tasks as needed for vehicle repairs or modifications
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with mechanical parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Learn to interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repair needs and progress
Qualifications
- Prior dealership experience or mechanic experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive repair processes
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and schematics is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in automotive technology is preferred
