KPMG’s Blockchain and Cryptoasset Center of Excellence (CoE) is focused on helping organizations build the infrastructure and capabilities required to engage with cryptoassets and scale its products and offerings. Our goal is to enable the institutionalization of cryptoassets via at-scale participation of financial services, such as Banks, Broker Dealers, Exchanges, Payment Providers, Fintech, Custody, Asset Management, and institutional investors, such as Hedge Funds, Family Offices, Pension Funds, Private Equity, and Venture Capital. We play an integral role in helping our clients in their cryptoasset journey from strategy to execution and beyond.
The CoE also supports organizations leveraging enterprise blockchain technologies to transform their operations and businesses. We help organizations address their core challenges by building or integrating the fit-for-purpose blockchain solution.
We are looking for a talented professional like you to build a highly visible presence for blockchain and crypto services while responding to the changing needs of external clients.
Successful candidates should have passion and enthusiasm for crypto, DeFi, and excitement about Web 3.0, along with in-depth knowledge of the industry’s institutional practices.
What you will do:
As a Senior Consultant - Blockchain and Cryptoassets, you’ll work with a team of crypto and blockchain enthusiasts with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients engage with innovative technologies such as blockchain, crypto, DeFi, NFT, Web 3.0, and Metaverse. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Service Delivery: conducting research, performing technical testing, writing reports, conducting interviews, and communicating regularly with clients and resources.
Advising clients on technology, operational and financial aspects of crypto and blockchain programs including strategy, governance, frameworks, controls, processes, and operating models.
Coordinating through cross-functional global engagement teams, both internally within KPMG, and external client teams, across all areas of the organization.
Translating complex business challenges into solutions, covering in-depth functional expertise, technology (applications and platforms), and operating model design.
Working with senior decision-makers and stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, IT, and the Business (e.g., Product owners, Heads of service delivery/CX, Head of Operations).
Having a solid understanding of trends and innovations in the crypto, blockchain, and wider FS industry.
Business development: taking an active role in the business community to increase awareness of the firm's services and level of commitment to the local market, developing and maturing relationships with internal staff and clients, developing proposals, identifying and pursuing opportunities to increase the practice's penetration.
Leading field engagement teams as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff members.
What you bring to this role:
In-depth expertise in crypto, DeFi, and excitement about Web 3.0.
Demonstrated consulting experience in executing client engagements in the crypto and blockchain space.
Strong understanding of the technology and operational risks with cryptoassets custody.
Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and engagements simultaneously.
Strategic mindset to enable innovation while managing the risks.
Ability to adapt communication skills to different stakeholder groups.
