The Director, Priorities & Outcomes is a senior business lead with extremely strong leadership, communication, influence and organizational skills. You will be accountable for supporting and facilitating the partnership between Product, Design, Sourcing, Planning, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and the project teams. While the product team drives the overall initiatives, you will rally the team to achieve each milestone, on time, as well as to deliver the results across the Loblaw Brands team. You will be responsible for effective collaboration between the Loblaw Brands teams ultimately resulting in successful products that meet the organization’s strategic direction.
The Director, Priorities & Outcomes should be able to work independently to find ways to increase organizational collaboration. You will provide support to the development and implementation of the priorities coming out of the 3-year plan into an ‘operating’ plan, while identifying resources or other constraints that new or upcoming projects/initiatives have on the plan.
Translates strategic plan into priorities and focuses the team on what the priorities are by communicating and ensuring the teams are clear on these priorities
Gatekeeper/ Navigates incoming priorities (outside of strategic plan) and problem solves ways to bring to completion (trade-offs, resources, interrelated activities)
Prioritizes divisional initiatives as they come in throughout the year
Single touch point for all Loblaw Brands team leads to drive on time completion of all projects / priorities coming out of the strategic plan
Identifying when priorities are not aligned at the Enterprise level
Identifying when projects or initiatives change in the organization helping the teams pivot, in a productive way.
Understands the priorities coming out of the 3-year plan and identifies conflicts
Project Tracking, Problem Solving and Monitoring
Tracks status of new priorities and reports on status to Senior Management
Monitors and tracks all priorities coming in and out of Loblaw Brands, including strategic plan, product plan and KPI’s
Builds out milestones for tracking the team’s strategic plan and rallies the teams across total team to achieve each milestone on time
Proactively identifies issues and problem solves to drive on time / on budget milestone completion
Serve as a point of escalation for issues and project plan collisions
Drives results across Loblaw Brands through management of milestones as they ladder up to the delivery of each initiative on the strategic plan
Holds all teams accountable to delivering their strategic plan
Single touch point between all the group leads (product, design, quality assurance, sourcing, meal solutions)
Forms an essential link between those delivering the product plan and those enabling the delivery of the plan.
Single product management touch point for design studio
Finds efficiencies in process to increase organizational collaboration and productivity
Enables collaboration by influencing and/or negotiating with other colleagues within the organization.
University Degree or higher in related field
Project Management Certification, Scrum Master Certification are assets
5-7 years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience
Proven abilities to partner with and exercise influence, persuade and/or negotiate with other Senior level colleagues across the organization
Demonstrate a successful track record in leading large, medium and small-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and overlapping deadlines
Extensive knowledge and experience in prioritization, communication, problem management and conflict resolution related to managing multiple, simultaneous projects/product launches
Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
