Now Hiring: Electrical Apprentices for the North Island
Comox | Courtenay | Campbell River
Pay: $19.22 – $30.00/hr, based on your apprenticeship level, schooling, and experience
Osprey Electric has been serving Vancouver Island since 2012, and we're growing our North Island crew. If you're an apprentice electrician (Level 1 through 4) living in or near Comox, Courtenay, or Campbell River, we want to talk to you. Our slogan is "It's brighter over here", and we mean that for our clients and our people.
A Day in Your Apprenticeship
You'll be out on real jobs, not standing around watching. Expect to run wire, rough-in and finish devices, help set up service equipment, and work alongside Red Seal Journeypersons and Foremen who actually want to teach. You'll get time on residential builds, commercial projects, multi-residential jobs, and service calls, so your ticket means something by the time you're through it. Ladders, lifts, rooftops and active sites are part of the job, and so is doing it safely.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Electrical Apprentice, Level 1–4
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Comfortable on ladders, at heights, and lifting materials on an active job site
- Confident and safe with hand and power tools
- Shows up on time, works hard, and wants to actually learn the trade
- Construction or electrical background is a bonus, not a requirement
- Genuinely fine working outdoors through all four seasons on the Island
What You Get
- Real mentorship from Journeypersons and Foremen who invest in apprentices
- Extended health, dental and vision coverage
- RRSP matching
- Wellness program and company-paid events
- A team culture built around our values: be industrious, be positive, be a team, be your best, be a good person, be customer driven
- A clear path to becoming a Red Seal electrician with a company that's actually growing on the Island
