Forrest Green is looking to hire a trainer for our Western Region (candidate must be located in either Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC) . Our company (www.policesolutions.ca) provides a variety of software solutions nationally to law enforcement agencies including but not limited to a virtual front counter to police services across Canada for the intake of online police information check applications.
Many of the current trainers are retired police civilian staff who were directly responsible for overseeing the police records check process within their own police services and are subject matter experts. We are looking for a new trainer to support our Western division in training our new and existing police clients on the software platforms.
Duties
Support police agencies on our online police record check platform, including initial in-person and on-line training, as well as ongoing training when requested or required.
Provide customer support for our online police record check platform, including Teams calls, telephone calls and in-person visits as appropriate. Develop and present information to clients on recent platform enhancements.
Complete critical onboarding steps for new police services through the delivery of training for police staff. This includes working with sales staff to gather all required documents and information as part of the process.
Work closely with the sales team to support the growth and development of Forrest Green solutions by providing ongoing support of client relationship management.
Identify new features or efficiencies to improve our online police record check platforms. Work with the development team to refine content and test on various development sites to ensure stability and functionality of new enhancements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on presentations and documents to support marketing efforts.
Attend national, provincial, and regional police conferences to establish and maintain customer relationships and represent the company brand.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Ideally the candidate will have previous law enforcement experience. This can include experience with law enforcement agencies along with a fundamental understanding of the police information check process. The candidate should have a training background and be comfortable delivering instruction on the platform through both in-person and virtual training. The candidate will have experience in project management, customer service and excellent written/verbal communication skills
The candidate must also have experience working with computers and various software platforms to be comfortable working virtually.
Training for the candidate will be supplied prior to them meeting with clients. The role will require the candidate to work closely with the Western Vice President. The vice president will accompany the trainer to conduct onboarding of clients onsite at various police services in Western Canada.
This position will require travel.
Pay: $33.00-$35.00 per hour
