Tarrabain Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram is looking for an automotive service technician with experience working on vehicle electrical components, including diagnosing, repairing, and servicing them. The candidate must be able to perform tasks such as inspecting electrical systems, calibrating components, and working on modern systems like electric vehicle (EV) high-voltage batteries. Key skills include understanding vehicle electrical diagrams, using electronic test equipment, and having knowledge of both traditional and electric vehicle power systems. The candidate should be able to perform preventive maintenance service and to determine safety or service work needed, identify warranty repairs, and describe work in work orders and mechanical inspection forms.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosis and Repair:
· Identify and fix issues within a vehicle's electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
· Work on various components, including engines, steering systems, drive trains, suspensions, and electrical systems.
· Use tools and electronic test equipment to calibrate and test components like propulsion and charging systems.
· Conduct regular maintenance to ensure the reliability and proper functioning of electrical components.
· Stay updated on the latest advancements, especially with the increasing complexity of electric and hybrid vehicle technology.

Requirements:

- Other requirements of an automotive technician position as required
Experience
- Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on automotive repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and diagnostics is essential.
