Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Construction Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, sheet metal components in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality building projects by ensuring precise installation and adherence to safety standards. Experience in related trades such as carpentry, along with the ability to interpret schematics and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry as a metal worker
- Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural drawings
- Ability to accurately read and interpret shop drawings
- Proven experience in construction or sheet metal installation preferred
- Valid driver's license
Technical Skills
- Metal fabrication and installation
- Experience using fabrication equipment, including:
- Shears
- Saws
- Other fabrication tools
- Field measuring and installation experience
- Good mechanical aptitude
Preferred (Asset)
- Welding experience with:
- Stainless steel
- Mild Steel
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working in both:
- Fabrication shop
- Field/on-site locations
- Able to work on:
- Ladders
- Scissor lifts
- Physically capable of construction-related work
Soft Skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
