As we transition and position ourselves to scale, we are looking for a full-time, career-oriented production supervisor. The production supervisor’s role is a key position in our Balzac production facility. This position is responsible for ensuring each production line runs smoothly and safely on a day-day basis. This role actively supports our food safety, quality assurance and maintenance departments. The ideal candidate will have experience as a supervisor in an industrial food manufacturing setting. We also welcome qualified candidates from different backgrounds as well.

Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Responsible for ensuring everyone on the production team understands their duties and performs at a high level
- Trains new and existing production line workers as they develop within OKFD
- Organizes and prioritizes tasks for the team
- Effectively communicates with the different departments in the production facility
Operations:
- Ensures procedures are being properly implemented and followed with the support of the production manager
- Flags and, if possible, resolve production issues that may arise with a focus on minimizing downtime
- Supervises the production line in real time to ensure product quality meets OKFD’s high standards
Safety and Food Safety
- Ensures compliance with health & safety regulations including, but not limited to, the assigned production area
- Works within and enforces the guidelines of all applicable aspects of OKFD’s food safety program (SQF, HACCP, GMP) and ensures compliance of production staff
- Active member of the emergency response team
- Supports the Food Safety Supervisor with the implementation of OKFD’s food safety program
Maintenance
- Works closely with Maintenance team to minimize disruption to the line in the case of breakdown and repair
- Notifies maintenance if equipment issues arise
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of supervisory experience within an industrial manufacturing setting, ideally within food manufacturing
- Knowledge of production lines and machinery (production performance indicators, technological processes)
- Track record of improving and monitoring production KPIs
- Strong communications skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Demonstrated ability directing production employees in a proactive and positive manner
- Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
- Ability to work shifts, including weekend shifts, with flexibility to adjust
- Preferred: Knowledge of Food Safety procedures
- Preferred: Forklift certification
- Preferred: First aid certification
