Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist children and youth with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Implement individualized support plans tailored to each child's needs
- Support children with disabilities through therapeutic activities and accommodations
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social skills
- Foster positive relationships by providing emotional support and encouragement
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to coordinate care and support strategies
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and interventions
- Promote inclusive participation in group activities and community events
Requirements
- Experience working with children, especially those with disabilities or special needs
- Knowledge of teaching methods suitable for children and youth development
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Patience, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills
- Relevant certifications or training in child development or support work are preferred but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a safe environment for children and youth
Pay: $21.50-$23.00 per hour
