Studio Audio Director, Stadia Games and Entertainment

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in music or audio, professional training in audio, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in as an audio director working on multiple AAA games.
Experience with DAW tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Sound Forge, MIDI).

Preferred qualifications:
Experience building new audio facilities.
Knowledge of studio audio equipment.
Excellent creative vision and a collaborative work ethic.
Ability to build a team of audio specialists, working autonomously and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate vision, objectives, and feedback in a clear, actionable, and inspiring way.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
About the job
As a Studio Audio Director, you'll be responsible for setting the Creative Direction and ensuring the quality of all audio content in games developed at the studio. You will contribute passion, talent, and experience as an Audio Director building and leading our audio production efforts and helping deliver exceptional entertainment experiences for Stadia.

Define the audio direction for the studio’s first exclusive game and help set production processes and best practices for future games.
Specify and design audio facilities, equipment, tools and workflows required to deliver AAA results.
Anticipate technological advances, understand the issues brought about by new industry trends, and implement solutions that leverage these changes by tapping into the best Google and external tech available.
Help build an excellent studio culture. Encourage an open and Googley approach where teamwork and creativity can thrive.
Be the studio’s expert on all aspects of audio design and implementation so that you can provide hands on training and coaching to the audio team.
