Job Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced and engaging Licensed Practical Nurse as our Continuing Care Assistant Instructor, to teach in our Progressive Continuing Care Assistant Program. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Delivering instruction that meets program and individual module learning objectives, as set out in the curriculum
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching aids that utilize a variety of teaching methods
- Monitoring and discussing students’ progress with them individually, and as a group
- Assigning and posting grades
- Supervising long-term and home care student placements.
Your Qualifications & Our Expectations
- LPN License, with CLPNNS (and at least 3-years’ experience)
- Teaching experience and/or the possession of an Instructor’s Certificate in Adult Learning is an asset
- Exceptional proficiency in interpersonal communication, including presentation and group facilitation skills
- Demonstrated success with motivating, engaging, and inspiring students
- Ability to work with other nurses within a team environment
- Commitment to excellence in providing the best possible learning experience for our students
- Current CPR and First Aid training is considered an asset
- (NB: A Criminal Record Check and Social Media perusal will be conducted).
