Kenworth Newfoundland and Labrador is looking for an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of proven hands-on experience to join our team in Mount Pearl.
As Atlantic Canada's largest Kenworth repair facility, we offer a busy, modern shop, steady work, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial trucks and equipment.
If you know trucks, can diagnose problems, and are comfortable handling repairs independently, we'd like to talk.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air brake, and HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Diagnose faults and identify required repairs
- Repair and replace major components as required
- Complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Document work performed and communicate repair findings
- Work alongside an experienced service and technical team
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of proven professional experience repairing commercial trucks and/or trailers
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and complete repairs efficiently
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
Assets:
- Journeyperson/Red Seal or other recognized trade certification
- Kenworth, PACCAR, Cummins, or other heavy-truck experience
- Electrical diagnostic experience
- HVAC experience
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Experience with forklifts or other industrial equipment
Experience matters. A trade certificate is an asset, but we are primarily looking for someone who has the hands-on knowledge and experience to get the job done.
