Northstone Concrete is a growing residential concrete contractor specializing in custom homes, ICF foundations, architectural concrete, suspended slabs, retaining walls, and high-end flatwork. We take pride in quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and doing things the right way.
We're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who wants more than just another job. We need someone who can lead crews, solve problems on site, maintain high quality standards, and help us build one of British Columbia's best concrete companies.
Duties
- Lead a crew on residential concrete and formwork projects
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Layout, build, and strip footing, wall, and slab formwork
- Install ICF and conventional formwork systems
- Ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining quality
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior carpenters
- Coordinate with site supervisors, homeowners, and other trades
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site
- Inspect work to ensure it meets company quality standards
- Assist with concrete placement and finishing when required
Qualifications
- 5+ years of formwork carpentry experience
- Leadership or foreman experience preferred
- Strong understanding of residential concrete construction
- Experience with ICF systems is a major asset
- Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate layouts
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
