Our Financial Planning and Analysis team has an immediate opening in Ottawa for a Financial Business Analyst (eCommerce) to support the significant growth we're experiencing in our online, eCommerce channels. You'll be responsible for improving and automating eCommerce business processes through upgrades to the company’s current ERP system (NetSuite), as well as implementing new solutions globally. In addition to eCommerce, you will also be involved in the implementation and support of various systems relating to Finance.
Act as the interface between Finance and various departments, specifically Ecommerce and IT, on eCommerce and web shop system projects
Perform testing and quality assurance on new or upgraded web shop carts & marketplace platforms globally
Work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure system improvements are rolled out effectively
Manage various system improvement projects and new system implementation projects
Maintain implemented eCommerce processes and troubleshoot exceptions
Proactively perform reconciliations, identify data issues and follow up with solutions
Perform GAP analysis, define requirements and recommend changes from a finance/accounting perspective on eCommerce system improvements
Design, document and maintain system development and change management processes
Actively scope out ways to improve monitoring of workflows and systems, proactively identify issues and deliver better value to the global Finance team
Train Finance employees on eCommerce processes and systems
Other related projects and responsibilities
Degree or diploma in business, accounting, business systems or a related field
Accounting designation preferred (CPA – CA, CMA, CGA)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, business analysis and system testing is required
Proven experience participating in eCommerce and web store implementations globally including experience leading these projects
ERPs, ideally NetSuite, including full system and solution implementations
Shop systems, ideally Magento and Channeladvisor
Payment providers, ideally Paypal, Amazon, Stripe, Klarna
Financial requirements and processes associated with eCommerce and webshops
Financial and tax implications associated with global eCommerce systems and operations
Strong business acumen and solid project management skills
Strong Excel skills with experience in developing models with large sets of data
Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong drive to get things done
