Who We Are:
Heritage Park is Canada's largest living history museum and offers visitors a chance to experience life in Western Canada from the 1860s to the early 1950s. The Park features historical buildings, costumed interpreters, working antiques, and various exhibits that provide insight into the region's past.
Clean all designated venues and buildings/exhibits, as well as assist with physical setups and teardowns for both catered events and special events under the direction of the manager and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Operational Support

Obtain assigned keys and a radio at the beginning of scheduled shift, lock buildings upon completion of tasks, communicate using proper radio etiquette, and return both keys and radio to Security at the end of each shift

Clean designated venues, washrooms, and exhibits to desired Heritage Park Standards

Perform setups and teardowns of designated venues and areas for special and catered events according to specific floor plans and directions.

Provide an exceptional visitor experience through friendly and courteous interactions with guests, staff, and volunteers, using polite greetings, actively acknowledging guests, and handling situations positively

Create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors with a customer-focused approach, providing courteous and friendly answers to inquiries and valuable information to enhance the overall visitor experience

Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

Prior experience in related role is an asset

A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license is preferred

Ability to follow instructions from the supervisor to thoroughly and safely complete all assigned tasks

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work as part of a team or independently

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills in a client-faced setting

All successful candidates (over the age of 18) will be required to complete a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. Special Clothing and Equipment:

Appropriate costuming and safety equipment will be provided by Heritage Park; and

Footwear, as designated by the Heritage Park Costume Department, will be provided by the employee.
Special Working Conditions:

The position will be exposed to weather extremes and will work both indoors and outdoors; and

This position is physically demanding, and the incumbent must have the ability to lift heavy items (approximately 50lbs), stand for long periods of time and walk throughout the Park for extended periods
