Overview
Esso / JP Gas & Variety is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Customer Service Associate to join our team.
We are seeking an experienced Gas Station & Convenience Store Associate with a strong focus on customer service and sales, particularly prioritizing weekend shifts, but also multiple hours possible during the week normally from 4pm to 10pm (M-F)
- Part-time position
- Weekend availability required (Saturdays and Sundays)
- Additional weekday shifts may be available
- Weekend shifts may be scheduled anytime between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
- Located just on the Orangeville/Mono, Ontario border right on Hwy 10
Duties
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Operate cash register and point-of-sale systems
- Process fuel, convenience store, tobacco, lottery, and alcohol sales in accordance with applicable regulations
- Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays
- Maintain store cleanliness and appearance
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory
- Support daily store operations during busy periods
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for customers and team members
Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age or older due to the sale of tobacco and alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to reliably arrive on time for scheduled shifts, including 6:00 a.m. opening shifts
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, particularly during busy summer weekends
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
- Reliable transportation to and from work is strongly preferred
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to applicants with current or previous experience working at major fuel and convenience retail brands, including:
- Esso / Mobil
- Shell
- Petro-Canada
- Ultramar
- Pioneer
- Other major fuel retail operations
Previous experience in a convenience store, gas station, or other high-volume retail environment is considered a strong asset but not a deal breaker.

Summer weekends can be extremely busy, and successful candidates will be comfortable serving customers efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Reliability is extremely important, particularly for opening shifts and weekend coverage.
Students returning to school in September are welcome to apply, provided they can maintain regular weekend availability during the school year.
Preference will be given to applicants seeking long-term employment beyond the summer season.
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
