Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. We will coach the best candidate into the role to help us manage project in and around the Shuswaps. We are a very diverse company and require a high value system. As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for various carpentry tasks including assembling, concrete forming, framing, landscaping, flooring installation, cabinet installation, maintenance person work, construction painting, roof work, and tile laying. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, flooring, and roofing
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with building codes and specifications
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in carpentry including concrete forming, flooring installation, cabinet installation, maintenance person work, plumbing, construction painting, roof work, and tile laying
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
