Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Working under the supervision of a physician, you will be responsible for conducting follow-up appointments for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up assessments for patients post-procedure or consultation.
- Review procedure results, pathology findings, and treatment plans with patients
- Provide patient education, counseling, and reassurance
- Prescribe medications and order laboratory tests if required
- Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify and escalate clinical concerns to supervising physician as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), within the RN (Extended Class) and is a member in good standing
- Completion of an accredited NP program
Experience
- Prior experience in gastroenterology, surgery, and outpatient settings is preferred
Skills Required:
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement
- Ability to work independently under supervision
- Proficiency with Oscar EMR is preferred
